Unlike strict geophytes, this trailing species doesn't need to be kept completely bone-dry all summer, but it does appreciate a dry-down period. Water thoroughly when the soil mix dries out entirely during its active autumn and winter growth phases.
It performs beautifully in bright, indirect light or partial morning sun. Avoid blistering, intense afternoon heat, which can scorch its delicate, textured leaves.
It is tender and will not survive a hard freeze. If your winter temperatures dip below freezing, keep it in a container so you can bring it indoors to a cool, bright windowsill.
