Pectinaria articulata ssp. asperiflora is a highly specialized, rare succulent belonging to the Apocynaceae (milkweed) family and the stutapeliad tribe.
Endemic to South Africa, it features segmented stems and produces extremely small, strangely shaped starburst-like flowers.
