• Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect sunlight. A couple of hours of mild morning sun helps flush out the intense dark purple and brown stripes on the pitchers.
• Temperature Range: It thrives with daytime temperatures around 22°C to 27°C (72°F to 80°F), paired with a mild drop at night down to 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F).
• Watering Strategy: Use strictly distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water. Because it is an epiphyte in nature, its roots cannot tolerate stagnant, waterlogged conditions. Water thoroughly from the top, allowing all excess water to drain out completely.
• Loose Substrate: Replicate its canopy home by using an extra-airy potting medium. A classic combination is 50% long-fiber sphagnum moss and 50% coarse perlite. Some growers add orchid bark or charcoal to maximize oxygen delivery to the roots.
