Thrives in intense, bright light. Place near a south or east-facing window (4–6 hours daily). If growing indoors, they may need bright, indirect light, but some direct sun is fine.
Water deeply, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. In winter, minimize watering, as they are dormant and highly susceptible to rot.
Prefer warm environments (50–80°F or 10–27°C), but need a cooler, dry, and bright environment in the winter to encourage flowering.
Feed with a balanced, diluted cactus fertilizer (half-strength) once a month during spring and summer.
