Requires bright, filtered or indirect light. It thrives beautifully under modern LED grow lights or on a window sill behind a sheer curtain. While moderate light stress brings out stunning amethyst and bronze background skin tones, harsh afternoon sun will scorch the window tissues.

Adhere to a strict soak-and-dry regimen. Only water deeply when the substrate has gone entirely dry to the bottom of the pot. You can read your plant via a gentle squeeze test: if the lower leaves feel firm and rock-hard, skip watering; if they display slight wrinkling or compress slightly, it is time for a thorough soak.

Plant in a highly porous, 80% to 90% mineral-based medium. Standard nursery soils hold far too much moisture. Utilizing an inorganic matrix of premium akadama, pumice, and hard perlite ensures water passes through instantly and the thick root systems get the constant oxygenation they crave.
