Requires bright, highly diffused light. A premium LED grow-light setup or a spot behind a sheer window curtain is perfect. Strong light is required to bring out the pastel pinks and deep background pigments, but direct, unshielded sun will turn the frosted windows a dull, stressed brown.
Follow a standard soak-and-dry regimen. Wait until the medium is dry all the way to the bottom of the pot, and the lower leaves feel slightly yielding to a gentle squeeze, before watering thoroughly.
Plant in a highly porous, 80% mineral-grit mixture (comprising akadama, pumice, and hard perlite). Avoid dense potting soils, as splendens roots require heavy oxygenation to thrive.
