The thick, semi-upright triangular leaves are intensely covered with white, cloud-like variegation, frosty flecks, and prominent bumpy spines or tubercles. This gives the leaf window an icy, glistening texture.
Under ideal conditions, the stark white frosting creates a brilliant, high-contrast display against the deep, dark emerald or forest green base of the inner leaves.
It maintains a dense, compact, and low-growing star-shaped rosette that is very stable and slow-developing. Variegated or mutant forms can introduce stunning pinkish or milky-cream bands.
