Is a small, perennial succulent cactus species in the family Cactaceae, native to a limited area in southeastern Coahuila and possibly adjacent Zacatecas, Mexico. It is a low-growing subshrub that forms compact clusters of solitary or offsetting stems, which are spherical to club-shaped and measure 4–4.5 cm in diameter and height. The stems feature erect tubercles, 10–12 mm long, with deep grooves extending to their bases, densely covered in glassy-white spines: typically 4–5 stiff, needle-like central spines (11–14 mm long, occasionally dark-tipped) and around 33 radiating radial spines (6–12 mm long, straight or slightly curved). In late spring, it produces small, showy flowers that are bright lavender to magenta, 1.5–1.7 cm long and 0.8–1 cm wide, emerging from the stem apex; fruits are pinkish-lavender to pale green, 1.2–1.4 cm long.
