A very rare and highly decorative, dry, deciduous shrub with beautiful, peeling, rich orange bark, very fragrant, soft wood, and tiny leaves and seeds. Bursera arida 'Dark Orange' originates from the scrubland of Oaxaca, Mexico. It adapts well to most dry, warm climates but is virtually unknown in cultivation. It is excellent as a bonsai.
