Requires an exceptionally large, deep pot to accommodate its extensive root system.

Cool season growers. Dormant in summer but with perennial roots. Probably not frost hardy or very minimally so. I grow them outdoors in an area with regular light frosts but keep them under frost cloth during those periods. Anything colder and they need a greenhouse or indoor situation.
