Grows in well-drained soil with some of water when in growth and some sun.

The deltoid, slightly recurved leaves display a unique blend of ocean-blue or glaucous-green bases overlayed with peach, orange, and neon pink tones.

The entire leaf surface and its sharply toothed margins are covered in a heavy network of prominent, raised bumps. When sun-stressed, these bumps turn a brilliant, glowing crimson-orange.

It is one of the larger dwarf hybrids, growing into a spectacular rosette up to 12 inches (30 cm) wide and tall.

During summer and autumn, it pushes up unbranched stalks displaying loose, elegant clusters of tubular red flowers with lighter tips.
