Requires a heavy amount of bright, indirect light. Adequate lighting is necessary to prevent the plant from "reverting" back to solid green. Avoid direct summer sunlight, which will instantly crisp and burn the white or yellow variegated sections.

It needs a highly chunky, aerated "aroid mix" (orchid bark, perlite, pumice, and charcoal). Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of soil to dry completely before watering again. It hates sitting in waterlogged soil, which leads to immediate root or corm rot.
