It is coveted by collector plant enthusiasts for its distinct silvery-white frosted leaves and its charming, tight clumping habit.

The pale, light green leaves are entirely coated in a thick layer of whitish pruine (farina). This powdery coating gives the plant its glowing, frosty silver appearance and protects it from intense light.

The leaves are remarkably plump and grow in a spherical, droplet, or "gut-shaped" form. Under intense light or temperature shifts, the leaves can express beautiful mottled pink, red, or brownish speckles. 

In the active season, it pushes out a long, wire-like stem that blooms with small, tubular green flowers subtly tipped with a pinkish hue.
