When this cultivar blooms, it typically drops almost all its leaves and explodes with hundreds of small, bright pink flowers simultaneously, creating a solid crown of blossoms.
Under full sun, the trunk and branches cure into a very dark, slick charcoal-green or black skin tone that creates a dramatic visual contrast against its pink flowers.
Keep it in the absolute brightest spot possible. Intense sunlight keeps the branch nodes packed close together and darkens the bark pigment.
